The exam will cover chapters 1-3

You should focus on the following topics:

· Numbering System: decimal, binary, octal, hex conversions.

· Complements 1’s and 2’s.

· Boolean functions: Basic reduction of Boolean expressions, DeMorgan’s, min and max terms, truth table, logic diagrams.

· K-Maps: 3 and 4 variables.

· Product of sums and sum of products.

· Don’t care conditions.

· Different ways of implementing logic circuits.

Note that if you have reviewed and understood the homework problems and class notes, you should be ready for the exam.

There will be no makeup should you miss the exam unless there is an emergency situation.
