Well, we are deep in to the 1999 race season and it started off pretty good with a win at Charlotte (Lowes) Motor Speedway. But recently we've had a streak of bad luck. At Summit Point last month, a brake pad delaminated and Rob went straight across the carosel. Then at Lime Rock, a tire delaminated during the qualifying session. Now it seems the brake pad did more damage than we thought. While loading the car on the trailer for the Nelson Ledges national, I noticed a big gap between two pieces of steel that make up the front subframe. The weld was broken, probably from the wild ride at Summit Point. So, Rob decided to bag Nelson Ledges and change the subframe instead.
