On July 19, 1995 the Project Excel students visited the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) in Newport News, Virginia. They were challenged to solve the problem of producing a boat that would hold the most dice given a fixed amount of material.
The first step is to come up with a design to solve the problem.
Once you have built the boat from your design it is time to test.
The final test to see which group's boat could hold the most dice.
