Directions to CNU
CNU is located in the City of Newport News, Virginia. Newport News lies to the east of Williamsburg, Va, to the south of Washington, D.C., and to the north of Norfolk, Va. Click here for a map showing CNU's location. (Map provided by www.mapquest.com).

From Washington, D.C.:

  • Take I-95 south to 295.
  • Take the exit to I-64 East, heading towards Norfolk.
  • Continue with the directions for all points west of Newport News.
From points West (e.g., Williamsburg) :
  • From I-64 east, take exit 255A onto Jefferson Avenue.
  • Follow Jefferson to its intersection with J. Clyde Morris Blvd.
  • Take the right turn off into J. Clyde. Stay on the right lane. J. Clyde ends at its intersection with Warwick Blvd.
  • Turn right onto Warwick, and turn left at the SECOND light. You are now on campus.
  • Parking Lot D is the first one on the left.
From points South (e.g., Norfolk):
  • Take I-64 west to the J. Clyde Morris exit, 258A.
  • Stay on J. Clyde Morris until it ends at its intersection with Warwick Blvd.
  • Turn right onto Warwick, and turn left at the SECOND light. You are now on campus.
  • Parking Lot D is the first one on the left .

Okay, I'm at CNU. Where are we supposed to meet?
  • Proceed to Gosnold Hall. It's labelled # 14 on the map.

Projected Schedule of Events
8:30 am Check In / Registration
Teams should arrive at 8:30 am for check in (Gosnold Hall). Teams test their accounts and practice using the local system as well as using the contest software.
9:00 am Practice Problem
Teams practice submitting runs to the contest judges, and sending clarification requests. Practice is in the Hunter Creech Computing Laboratory and, if necessary, the Media Lab, Gosnold Hall.

10:00 am Orientation / Rules
Contest information will be presented in Gosnold Hall.
11:00 am Lunch
Held in Gosnold Commons, Gosnold Hall.
12:00pm Contest Start (estimated time)
Held in Hunter Creech Computing Laboratory and, if necessary, the Media Lab, Gosnold Hall.
5:00pm Contest End (estimated time)
Gosnold Hall.
5:00pm Dinner(estimated time)
